How we do it

Covocacional exists to develop pathways for Latino covocational church planters, propelling them forward in God’s mission to see gospel saturation across the US and Latin America. These pathways come to life through missional training processes -including residencies, transformational workshops, hands-on practice, and mentoring - that equip leaders to live and serve missionally in every sphere of life. Covocacional’s missional framework serves as a catalyst for churches and networks seeking to deepen their missional DNA and strengthen and multiply their work. Our work focuses on three key areas: Pathways, Missional and Movemental DNA, and Rethinking Vocation and Reimagining Models. Each is essential - together, they foster multiplication.

Pathways

We partner with churches and networks to create - or strengthen - pathways that intentionally develop missional disciples and leaders. In many cases, these pathways exist only in part, so we come alongside to help re-think, connect, or build them more fully.

Without a clear pathway, gaps often arise: some are never invited in, others are not adequately equipped, and many struggle to sustain their calling - ultimately limiting multiplication.

Re-thinking vocation & Re-imagining models

We believe that seeing exponential growth requires rethinking traditional models of leadership development and church planting. Rather than relying on approaches that are complex, costly, or difficult to reproduce, we seek to cultivate models that are simple, sustainable, and adaptable across diverse contexts.

For a broader mobilization of God’s people in His mission, the church must rediscover the language of calling, church planters with a second job need to re-think how both vocations are part of their calling, and the church must affirm, support, and create pathways for covocational ministry to flourish.

Missional & Movemental DNA

The key to exponential multiplication of disciples is not a few super-talented church planters pushing the mission forward. It is the body of Christ as a whole living as the sent people of God in its diversity of gifts, callings, and contexts. The church (not the building but the people) is the place where the Spirit works and through whom the Spirit works. Not only do we need to learn how to live as disciples on mission (Missional DNA), but we also need to reshape our ecclesiology for mission (Movemental DNA).

Covocacional

The missional framework Covocacional provides serves as a catalyst for churches and networks in the three areas above. When these three elements are integrated, they create strong potential for the exponential multiplication of disciples and churches.

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
