El Camino Misional / The Missional Way
The idea for a workshop in Lima began unexpectedly in a casual hallway conversation with missionary Benjamin Lewis. What started as a simple greeting quickly revealed a shared passion: seeing churches across Latin America rediscover their missional identity, reach new people with the gospel, and multiply faithful followers of Jesus. That brief conversation sparked a vision neither of us wanted to ignore.
After several follow-up conversations over Zoom, the vision became a reality. Pastors and leaders from multiple denominations gathered in Lima for two days of learning, reflection, and prayer. By God’s grace, El Camino Misional proved deeply meaningful, and out of it we are now launching a collaborative network aimed at strengthening the missional DNA of the church.
Over the coming months, we are planning a series of online cohorts beginning in March, followed by a second in-person workshop in Lima in the fall. These cohorts will explore how our Christology shapes our understanding of discipleship, missional engagement, and ecclesiology.
